Melissa Barker is a Certified Archives Manager, a professional genealogist who, writes and lectures about researching in archives and records preservation. She writes a popular blog entitled A Genealogist in the Archives. She is the Reviews Editor for the Federation of Genealogical Societies (FGS) magazine FORUM. The Archive Lady is a frequent contributor at Abundant Genealogy, the In-Depth Genealogist Magazine, The Stewart-Houston Times, Lisa Louise Cooke’s Genealogy Gems Podcast and DearMYRTLE online events. She is currently employed as the Houston County, Tennessee Archivist.
