I searched for STETSON, the ship that departed Liverpool, England 26 April 1855, arriving at New York 27 May 1955 carrying our 2nd great-grandparents Thomas and Mary (Coucom) Wasden and 291 others. We knew of the departure date from recollections penned by their daughter Ellen (Wasden) Christensen, that I’d previously found at the Church History department back in the 1990s.
What I found is using the Saints by Sea website is totally new to me. an entry for Thomas Wasden, a grocer, his wife Mary and presumtive children Alice, John B, Fredericko, Ellen, Orson, William, and Sarah A.

The posting at Saints by Sea indicates there were two babies born during that month-long voyage. Now I wonder if my ancestor Mary (Coucom) Wasden assisted with the deliveries. In a ship that small, she certainly would have known about them
