Respect For Our Nation’s Flag

This little boy is now over 6 feet tall and graduated high school last week. I pray he and his cousins will always remember to respect the flag. 

“They, too, gave their lives for their country” writes my friend Miriam of her ancestors who faced what I could only call the unspeakable trauma of war. Those who returned home were forever changed by physical and emotional wounds that never healed. PTSD isn’t a new thing. 

We shall never forget. 

May we teach our children respect for the flag and instill in them an understanding of the sacrifices made by brave men and women to preserve freedom. 

Praying we never take these matters lightly.
